They have plenty of handles, and they always choose them with some personal love of beer in mind. Granted, their tastes aren't crazy-off-the-wall, but they pick well made beers, not mere guaranteed sellers. The food is always good, particularly the specials. How many places can say their specials *consistently* rock the menu? Worth noting that they don't use a fryer on anything. Nice decorations, freshly gentrifying neighborhood, though off the beaten path for some. Great stealth place to use on your way to/from an event downtown or in pioneer square, since Rainier is usually a quick drive the rest of the way there (or to the freeway). Lots of good places to eat in this neighborhood now.

Same folks that run the 74th St. Ale House. Good food. Two TVs for local sports.
